So Strong (don't go back to) Rockville Finally Found The Dance |
If life experience makes for wisdom, it should also make for rich and fulfilling art. The music of Adam Austin is exactly that. Articulating dreams and desires that are the result of his travels from his east coast boyhood home in upstate New York to a humble hillside home in southern California, Adam's music has a relatable and sincere message. From working in Hollywood in the film industry to sculpting with metal and steel, Adam has also found unique expression in music. Adam's debut conjures up the familiar 'Americana' sound featuring some of todays greatest players in the genre. Drummer Don Heffington (Lucinda Williams, Lone Justice, Lowen & Navarro) provided a foundation for several of Adam's songs. Phil Parlapiano (John Prine, Grant Lee Buffalo, the Figaro Brothers) played keyboards and accordion. Canadien Bill Bell offered great mood with guitar tones that are both ethereal and otherworldly. Matt Fitzell, rhythm section member of Los Angeles band "Slydell" played bass to complete the project. The result is a modest mix of emotion, great melodies and great lyrical content. 'Finally Found' hints at familiar music from the past, but offers much to expose Adam's potential for the future. |
